The intergenerational exchange, ‘Businesses We Believe In’, brought together swapathgamis of all different backgrounds, who were interested in exploring their selves and the possibilities for an organic business or eco-livelihood in today's world. The shared commitment was to both challenge the dominant model of business (its violence, exploitation and injustice) and to regenerate a more healthy, balanced and honest sense of business.
We began our introductions by sharing our interests and talents, as well as the questions we were living with. In small groups, we tried to delve deeper by playing with 'appreciative inquiry' dice. We asked ourselves and each other: Why did you come to this gathering? What is something new you want to learn / explore next in your life? What do you like best about yourself? How do you see yourself as a swapathgami? What is a dream you are holding? What is your greatest strength that you would like to share with others?
